Ask HN: Publishing NPM packages takes hours?

Recently I'm experiencing hour long delays on publishing public npm packages under organization.

I'm using local, command line npm publish (not ci).

Cli says everything has been published instantly.

However package with that version cannot be installed for hours.

Re-publishing same version says that version has already been published.

Npm status page looks green with some small note yesterday (24th Apr 2023) that there were some problems with publishing "Partial outage of package publish". This issue seems to be not resolved at all.

It's quite frustrating to see most of the time status pages green while systems are not working at all (are they for investors or developers?).

Anyone experiencing similar issues with default npm registry?
