Ask HN: Device case prototyping and mass production

Hello I'm looking for a strategy and advice on how to make a case prototype for a device that really needs one. The current device manufacture stoped producing their cases. And far as I can see on the internet NO one is making them.

The device in question can fit in your hand and its not a phone.

Ideal case would be rubber with hard plastic on the outside of the corners.

Can I 3d print rubber now with hard plastic?

Please advise.
