I have driven so many "piles" when putting up lightweight electric fences, that is definitely a job where one or two person can do a few hundred a day if not thousands. That technology revolutionized sheep herding in Australia and New Zealand (with vast open spaces to fence) and lets you set up small temporary pastures for horses and other animals in less than a day. My farm is hilly and wet though and I hate to think how a machine would tear up the ground.
