Ask HN: Connecting a Sonos Beam 2 to a record player

Hi HN!

I recently had a friend ask me to hook up a record player to a Sonos Beam 2. The record player has an aux —> LR (red/white) and the Sonos Beam 2 has an HDMI input (???) for audio.

I looked online and I found some hint that it could be done and I found a video/L/R —> HDMI converter, but that didn’t work.

If anyone knows how to hack this together to use the existing sound bar they have or can point me to somewhere where I can learn how to do it, that would be greatly appreciated!!
