Ask HN: Looking for fun Cloud/Network automation project ideas

A bit of context:

I'm a Software Dev branching off to SRE/DevOps who has also taken an interest in network programming and automation.

I'm looking for fun project ideas that I can put on my github and portfolio with the objective to:

1. learn while building a real(istic) world project 2. have something to talk about with future employers / recruiters
