Twitter on iPad Browser Broken

I can't access any twitter profiles from ipad browser, but I can from a desktop (not logged in for either). Twitter pretends the pages dont exist.

How long has this been going on for? Is this a bug or a passive aggressive way to push users towards their app?

This is how things used to be pre-Musk. Musk disabled this behavior and enabled browsing without login, but it seems to be back to the old way again.

it's been more than 3 hours: https://downdetector.com/status/twitter/ tried postiing something on hackernews but it got flagged as a dupe. it's pretty shady that it's not on the frontpage
