While one shouldn't submit every software update to hn, I found the discussion about valgrind development interesting: how the scattered online presence with various tools makes contributing harder. I'm wondering how feasible it would be to migrate development over GitHub?
Also one should probably talk about valgrind from time to time, it is such a great tool!
I'd love to contribute, but the described development process is scaring me away :-)
their CI has much more and better architecture support than github, hence gcc, gdb, binutils, valgrind are there. but the sourceware tools are ancient.
