Anyone who wants to try a QUIC based VPN (or rather VPN-alternative) should checkout twingate.com recently covered by Network Chuck. Been using it a while now and have had very few problems with UDP blockage (although I suppose there could be more on corporate networks inside offices, etc.)
Huh... Why are they using QUIC instead of just UDP? I know that iCloud Relay also uses QUIC but never dug into the benefits over just UDP.
The article talks a bit about why QUIC over straight UDP. My one-liner on why I prefer QUIC is that it is designed for the public Internet where packet loss is more likely.
