UK at risk of falling behind in global hydrogen race (twitter.com)

I've never heard or seen a single reason that explains why hydrogen is a viable direction to go in. Maybe for limited routes for trucks. But those don't need a wide public network of fueling stations.

Another race? Oh, Great! What happens if the UK doesn't win? How'd they do in the 5G race? Much of a problem? Or the Internet race? Or whatever?
