Relocation package for a seed stage company

I'm a co-founder of a seed stage company and we need to relocate a handful of key engineers and employees from Austin to San Francisco.

I'm curious what you have seen offered / think is reasonable as far as a relocation bonus/package for employees of a still-early-stage company.

I would say there's two ways to do it:

1. Full service - you hire a relocation company to handle everything for your employees, from the moving vans to the house search to just everything. And then add some money as a bonus/travel on top.

2. No service - you give whatever #1 there would have cost or so direct to employees and let them work out what to do.

The second works better with "hungry" employees, the first works better with established ones, in my experience.

But you will lose some employees no matter what.
