Tell HN: I Crashed Safari

I am using MBP mid 2014 on Big Sur 11.7.6. On Safari 16.4.1 if I typed "veri" suddenly the browser crashed.

This what I can find in the crash report: ** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '-[NSCache setObject:forKey:cost:]: attempt to insert nil value (key: wi:https://www.verizon.com/)'

Guess from that “wi:https:” prefix: are you using an extension?

Also, why do you think this is interesting for HN? You don’t say whether it’s repeatable, don’t even argue that it’s exploitable, and I don’t think Safari crashes are that rare.

I have the same problem. Also if I try to type "Fios" in the address bar. Same crash.
