Poll: What do you think about AI-generated filler images?

The prolific use of AI generated imagery that seem vaguely related to the topic of blog posts and articles on the web has been bothering me for a while, and I'm wondering if I'm the weird one here. More often than not, the pictures makes me do a quadruple take because they are just good enough to pass for a well-crafted illustration or photograph at first glance, but _something_ about them makes my brain go "wait no something's off here". Upon closer inspection they often make me uncomfortable, and IMO don't provide any value.

Example from the front page as I write this: https://wolfhf.medium.com/the-eu-ai-act-is-coming-this-time-for-real-probably-df31ad8c451f

Something went wrong when I posted this (Unable to serve your request), so I guess this is a discussion instead of a poll.
I'm rather hoping availability of AI generation will kill off filler images.
