When I was visiting a relative in New Jersey, we had on a local channel and *every other commercial* was for some sports betting thing. DraftKings, Caesars, etc. It made me actually miss those Ashley Furniture and Haverty’s commercials.
Anyway, getting the nation hooked on gambling seems like a disaster. More Americans than ever are convinced the only way to achieve upward class mobility is to win the lottery. At the same time, most Americans are in debt, and the Fed is trying to pop the unemployment rate.
