Facebook has, perhaps accidentally, struck gold with their LLM leaked into the public. Their model is the basis for all this creative "open-source" experimentation going on, if anything commercially viable that comes out of this, theres bound to be some royalty payments for Facebook intellectual property use.
Are their metaverse developments open-sourced? Wouldn't it be meaningful to just give it to people, probably with a license like GPL? That would be such an extraordinary waste if all that massive amount of work they did so far will go into the trash can.
Did their metaverse bring anything to the table other metaverse didn't?
