I bought a Pico H and a Pimoroni Display Pack with the idea of making a custom clock for a gift. I didn't realize that some of Pimoroni's displays already have an RP2040 chip onboard, or in this case an entire Pico W.
I don't really need wireless, but the real-time clock would be handy.
Nice! I have the original Badger, will be tempted to upgrade. I am definitely getting one of those new LiPo batteries anyway, AAs are too bulky to carry around.
I wonder if all these companies realize how many money they are leaving on the table and why they apparently do little about it. I mean all the production chain.
Another approach would be to set up a VNC viewer on the badge. Then to update with new contents you'd connect to the shared VNC server and do whatever you'd want to update (you could in theory even run a browser, but the resolution is a big on the small side).
This is cool, but wouldn't it be better to run it the other way around? Have the Badger connect to the server every so often, so you can poll for an image and run the Badger on a battery?

Another funny idea: you could make a single party and hand out some devices with my script running on it. Then you can send a message to the Person you are interested in. Kind of the old phone call thing...
