National Transportation Noise Map (maps.dot.gov)

This was fascinating to scroll around. I knew NYC was noisy, but it was interesting to see the massive patches of color. Even the few other cities I looked at were less colorful & had the highest-decibel color only around airports; NYC was loud almost everywhere, with some of the highest-decibel color even away from airports (Hasbrouck Heights).
