While I agree with the overarching sentiment regarding trust, this was by no measure the first time that "intelligence" was leveraged as part of a spin operation.
For the rest of us, any purported scandal regarding the contents of a laptop that was not handled within a secure chain of custody is moot. It's time to move on.
If judges in the past were known to be guilty of taking bribes in the past, why should that mean that newly-discovered crooked judges should escape justice?
Our government cannot function properly with this sort of extensive corruption in any of its three branches. Our intelligence establishment operates without effective oversight, and something must be done to wrestle power back to favor transparency. Separating CIA's information-gathering function from its dirty tricks functions is a step in the right direction.

For some, the answer would be: 'yes' it would exactly like we saw in 2020.. the story with the President's son laptop with info suggesting his dad takes a '10% cut' while peddling political influence.
for some, the answer would be 'no', the CIA did not meddle in US election, and there is enough of 'plausible deniability' to support this view...
