Show HN: Job has 26,961 applicants (Linkedin/Canonical)

I feel like Canonical needs to be called out on this behaviour.

Surely out of 27,000 people you can find a few good ones?

What are they up to, beside wasting thousands of people's time?

They get applicants from all over the world ... Im sure there are more than 27k wanna be tech workers that apply to anything hoping it sticks. Without seeing the resumes of the applicants its hard to paint Canonical as wasting other peoples time. Someone there has to vet the applicants too.
Could be an old persistent job opening.

These kinds of openings are open running enrollments. They are always looking for good people. And whenever they find someone, they hire. And also quickly fire if they are no longer relevant.

The 'anonfiles' link you posted tried a bunch of sketchy stuff on mobile. Use a better image host.
