O'Boyle isn't a whistleblower; he's an insubordinate employee who refused to do his job and was improperly distributing information about investigations.
For me, it is unclear what the persons were blowing the whistle on exactly. What was clear to me is the improper distribution of information by O'Boyle and unauthorized media interviews with Russian media outlets by Friend. Further, the outspoken decision to withhold information to the subcommittee by Jim Jordan is alarming.

Beyond this, we are lacking necessary information; there are gaps that need to be filled in. The idea of FBI abusing its power and authority is a given. However, we didn't hear this evidenced in the testimony of the former FBI employees, IMO.

What is also unclear to me is why these persons need their security clearance in order to obtain future employment.
