If you create a ticket at https://help.twitter.com/en/forms and say that you want all of your data scrubbed from their databases while also stating you are an EU resident, they have to comply.

Even if you aren't an EU resident, they probably won't bother checking and will delete your data.

Not only that, they might be liable for storing data they were supposed to delete.

California-based HN/YC doesn't comply with that kind of request, for instance. They offer to rename the user to something random but that's it.
Isn't complying with the GDPR mandatory to give services in the EU? I don't think renaming your account makes you compliant with it.
What are you gonna do about it?
Bugs and meltdowns at Twitter don't even count as news anymore.
