Indeed! We will look at the lockdowns and restrictions 20 years from now with chagrin and disgust. How our society could devolve so quickly is a case experiment in civics.

There should be maximum consequences for those pushing to:

- ruin the educational opportunities for an entire generation of children

- coercing adults into a medical procedure (crimes against humanity can be tried ex post facto)

- forcing businesses to close for completely arbitrary reasons while big box stores remained open

I understand people were terrified, but you don't get to push people down and trample over them just because the fire alarm went off.

I look forward to seeing these animals at the gallows.

Well I’ve got less friends now, so I guess that’s one way.

These questions are useless unless they concede there are vastly different effects for different people.

For every 1 kid who was miserable and depressed at home, there are X kids utterly relieved they could escape the prison like environment of school.

For every adult suffering from isolation of WFH, there are X who had the most productive happiest times of their life.

For every 1 who got laid off and experienced misery, X realized they were so much happier staying home and tending to family.

Introverts finally had the world shaped to their personality for a brief moment.

But I guess all that matters in the end are gross averages.
