Mac Spotlight Keyboard Shortcut Not Working?

Has anyone ever had the keyboard shortcut (Command + Space) for apple spotlight search just stop working? It recently just stopped working on my M2 Mac Air and I have tried to reset the shortcut in system preferences but figured it was worth asking if anyone else has experienced this and has a fix?
