I expect a lot of AGW denialists to see this as "victory" and for the cohort who think a join over "this is where policy is made" and "be in the debate or lose" maybe that's true.

I'm not convinced twitter makes policy. Insurance company premiums make policy. Insurance companies say climate risk makes Florida uninsurable, no matter what Twitter says.

Do you have a source on FL being uninsurable? I just renewed my homeowners hurricane insurance.
It was hyperbole. The underlying point is that the insurance and re-insurance industry has already factored the risks into pricing and has therefore both changed the horizon of current insurance costs, and forced (maybe the wrong word: encourage, motivated, pushed for) changes in resiliency, mitigation and I believe underwriting/re-insurance by the state:
