You'll likely run out of money and regret the choice, as getting back in won't be easy.

Edit: it's hard because platforms changed since I was in IT.. Windows desktop programming isn't considered a valuable skill in 2023. Nor is being a Windows system administrator.

Also, Delphi was peak programmer productivity, it's all rapidly downhill not that all work is fed through the thin straw that in the smartphone/ tablet/ browser interface.

Why is getting back in considered hard? CV gaps? "I haven't coded in 4 years and forgot how"? "I'm a webdev and I'm now 16 frameworks behind"?
tech jobs do not pay very well except for the top 1%
