Ask HN: Is GitHub Down?

Over this weekend I'm repeatedly having connection problems with GitHub:

  $ ping -c 2 github.com
  PING github.com (140.82.121.3): 56 data bytes

  2 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100.0% packet loss

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yes, completely down and absolutely nothing works, not even the homepage could be opened.

Yeah, had a fun time yesterday when writing a tutorial. Was kinda reliably switching between good and bad every few seconds.

Yes, I think it may be related to the holiday in France and maybe they have some work to do or they have reduced the servers.
