LinkedIn's software blunder: disassociates accounts
I have logged in to LinkedIn in February, using only my Gmail email address - LinkedIn doesn't ask for a password.
I grew my account nicely, and have a few connections there that are important. I wanted to log in again 2 months later, using again my Gmail email. Wham! LinkedIn asks for my name etc. and I realize this is the process to create a new profile!
In Gmail I can still under "Apps with access to your account" the date from February when I logged in to LinkedIn for the first time. But now I have a new profile using the same login from February. Argh!
I amazes me that a company as big as LinkedIn makes such blunders! Are monkeys writing their code?
I do not even know how to proceed at this stage, since it is not like LinkedIn is restricting my account when I try to log in. I do not even have a handle to log in.
If a LinkedIn rep is reading this, pop me an email; otherwise I have no idea how to get their attention.
