Depending on your workload, of course. If you have to run something proprietary that you only have an x86_64 binary for, the slowdown of having to run it inside qemu would more than make up the difference. And even if you do have the source, it's not uncommon for programs to have highly optimized assembly for x86_64 and only a slow C fallback when compiling on other architectures.
