There was a book that I can't remember that suggested the entire epidemic in Africa was overblown. It wasn't denying it, just saying that some of the estimates of 20,30 or 40% infection rate were wildly overstated. Now that it's been a few years, I wonder if anyone has fact checked the book. (Sooorry. I don't recall the title.)

Obviously I can't tell you if a partially remembered book with no name and no date has ever been fact checked.
