Hi!
I'm Interested in front-end , back-end and desktop development and I'm available for either short or long term gigs. I work mostly with Javascript/Typescript and PHP (list of tech above). Perhaps you need some help refactoring an existing app, or doing the "tedious" things like adding tests, or maybe you have an existing project to get over the finish line, or add features to. Or perhaps you have a new idea and you'd like a prototype sketched out quickly. I can help with any of these, or perhaps something in between or a bit different?
Please get in touch, I should be able to know quickly if this is something I can help with and I'd be happy to do a few hours "exploratory" work free of charge if required or provide examples/suggestions.
Standard Rate: £18/$22 per hour
Flexible with timezones, I can easily workaround EST/PST etc. If you are elsewhere I'm sure we can figure something out.

I am interested in part-time or contract work as need be. I would be willing to discuss moving to full-time if the project seems interesting enough or if there is a good fit.
My current desired areas of interest are
I enjoy the startup life so I would be perfectly fine with a pre-seed company or one on the ropes. Larger companies present their own challenges, so I would be glad to return to that life as well, if the fit is nice.I have no interest in anything `crypto' or `web3` related.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like to follow-up. I am always glad to chat! If you're ever in Northern New Hampshire, first round is on me.

Hi potential employers! I am a Computer Science sophomore and Rodman Scholar in the Engineering School at the University of Virginia. I am fortunate to have 3 past internships in Software Engineering over the past summers and have worked on many projects that I am passionate about in the realm of web development as well as machine learning. For example, recently I created this AI Podcast Generator https://podcastmania.us/. Please feel free to check out some of my recent work and past projects on my resume and contact me if your company is searching for interns with my skillset.
I'm a full-stack developer / (LTD Co.) contractor from the UK.

I'm Wayne, a software engineer based in Portland, OR.
Most recently I built Herald, an open source application that simplifies deployment of a full observability pipeline, condensing a complex multi-application deployment (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Fleet Server) into just a few simple steps.
You can view the full technical case study where I discuss the use case, design decisions and implementation challenges of building Herald here: https://herald-app.github.io
I have 17 years of experience with web development, focusing on backend and systems architecture. I've also done a fair deal of networking, SRE and CI/CD, and often filled this gap in smaller teams. I have experience with distributed teams (US West/EU), can manage my own workload and take business-minded decisions when building software.
Recent technical write-up and open-source project I made that reached #1 on HackerNews: https://ptx2.net/posts/unbricking-a-bike-with-a-raspberry-pi...
Some things I've designed/built/launched/maintained professionally: web frontend/backends, realtime interactive graphics apps, data visualizations, computer vision apps, firmware, reverse engineering, video/image processing, apis, api integrations (payments/social/data), distributed systems, linux sysadmin, refactoring/maintaining legacy systems, managing small engineering teams, remote work, customer facing work.
Some areas of interest: the outdoors, health and fitness, art, music, environment, games, human computer interaction, product design, ui/ux, embedded/iot devices, privacy, security, networking, optimization, unusual companies/products, web, linux.
Looking for interesting software engineer or tech co-founder/director/advisor opportunities!
Very good - Java (especially Android specific), Kotlin, SQL, Maria DB, PostgreSQL, JSF, native in English and Hebrew, fluent in German (fast akzentfrei).
Good - Javascript, HTML, CSS, React, Linux(debian/Ubuntu, centOS, alpine), Firebase, Docker, Wireshark, SIP, Swiss German (Bärndütsch).
Some knowledge - Spring Boot, Python, Bash, Ansible, Angular, MongoDB, React Native, Go, Lua.

I am a full-stack developer. My most recent project is Test Lab, an open-source project for AB testing. This software is a self-hosted solution for small companies that wish to implement AB testing but need to be self-hosted for data storage requirements or want a starting place for their in-house test platform. I love solving coding problems. While I was studying Chemical Engineering, I used my coding homework as a reward for finishing my other homework. After graduation, I continued to learn coding in my free time. I found Launch School, which is self-paced, mastery-based learning of the fundamentals. I decided to switch careers and go back to school full-time. After immersing myself in the curriculum, I joined a team of three others to create Test Lab. Some of the challenges I enjoyed working on for this project were developing the REST API interface, the full Jest test suite, and designing the PostgreSQL database.
