> "An asteroid the size of almost 28 domesticated sheep"

they are just trolling now

“The Jerusalem Post is the oldest and largest English-language daily newspaper in Israel and the most-read English news website in Israel and the Jewish world.”

sorry i dont get your point
An internet search seems to indicate sheep farming is a big deal in Israel, so using sheep to give an indication of size might make more sense for a Jewish site?
Why do “they” control sheep-related volume measurements in the media though? Perhaps George Soros is behind this. Curious…

There are a lot of sheep species. From a "journalist" i expect more precision.
The article gives you what you seek.

> Asteroid 2023 HO18 is estimated by NASA to have a diameter of as much as 50 meters. In imperial measurements for American readers, that would be 164 feet or just under 55 yards.

Personally, I think for something as low stakes as an asteroid flying by the earth that having a bit of fun using a culturally relevant size estimation and associated puns is fine, especially considering they didn't just leave it at that and provided the more detailed information.

bah, ram ewe
Some people will do anything to avoid using metric units...
Get it?! _RAM?!?!!’!!?!!_ HA HAHA HAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAH
So it's 28MB of RAM. Now it makes sense. /s
