Sophisticated Fraud Techniques: Fraudsters continually evolve their techniques to bypass security measures. They may exploit vulnerabilities in systems, use social engineering tactics, or create convincing counterfeit products. Volume and Scale: Big retailers often deal with a high volume of transactions and numerous sellers. This sheer scale makes it challenging to identify and block every fraudulent activity, especially if it's not immediately apparent. Resource Constraints: Retailers have limited resources and must prioritize their efforts. Allocating sufficient resources to combat fraud can be a complex balancing act, especially considering the wide range of other operational aspects they must manage. https://www.ballsportspro.com/
While this is definitely getting worse it's still not to the point of ditching Amazon, NewEgg, and the life in favor or ordering direct from the provider (like Crucial/Micron, for example) but it has gotten to where I'm at least putting lead time on orders to have time to return defects/frauds and source parts from elsewhere.
