What is a "GPU based terminal" ? Does it run directly on the GPU ?

I don't know why the title is so humble to mention it but this terminal is written in Rust.

Also in this space is WezTerm - also written in rust, also GPU accelerated. It is probably the best I've come across in my time obsessing over terminal emulators.

This one looks neat too, I'll have to check it out.

Good iTerm replacement? I’ve noticed iTerm lags when scrolling through long outputs

Yes, absolutely. iTerm was my previous daily driver. WezTerm also has the benefit of being cross-platform so my configs Just Work across windows and mac.
