150 million miles by 2.7 million vehicles is about 55 miles per vehicle. I would expect the average Tesla owner to drive that in a week, so they must have full self driving enabled a fraction of the time they spent driving.

This is another domain in which Elon has built a house of cards: the dictat to be camera-only means that the miles driven record only 2D images.
If it turns out you need lidar,radar, or both in addition to cameras, Tesla gets to start data acquisition from scratch. That would become a case study in the dangers of early optimization.
