I saw this recommended in some of the recent threads as a good short story.

Unless I'm missing something it's really, really bad.

Even on the level of storytelling or metaphor it is clunky.

In terms of political philosophy, well let's just say I was expecting something better, or at least more interesting, from a schizophrenic genius who read the classics in the original languages.
