He's been the most polarizing figure of italian politics of the last 30 years. It will take decades to reach a balanced assessment about the guy. IMO future historians will not be kind to him.
He was in many ways the template for people like Trump and Johnson. He made it ok to be brazenly and unapologetically corrupt. As others have said, the damage he’s done is immeasurable.
