Ask HN: What do you use to run background jobs?

Context: My workplace is outgrowing its original approach running background jobs, and I wanted to see what everyone else is doing.

By background jobs I mean anything like ETLs, reprocessing raw incoming data, cleanup jobs, backups, etc.

What tech/tools/frameworks do you use? Do you like it?

If you're on windows "Always Up" is pretty neat.

I used Concourse[0] for a while. No real complaints, the visibility is nice but the functionality isn't anything new.
