As mentioned in the title and in the article https://www.beloga.xyz/articles/QmcEjpdHLdzjbGVqbdLYBHaVrzuRdkvxjuTJk5Kw7VdULX-QmYDoQk8ujqKRFwmV8VQsTUUg7qSZXTH7jaq3zg165E1cA

Folks were using AirDrop to send anti-communist files or posters to others in a short range, resulting in a crackdown by the Chinese government on AirDrop and bluetooth file sharing. I believe Apple complied and implemented a 10-minute cool down on file sharing with strangers. I wonder if such a product could help them mitigate this. We could make it open source and make it very DIY friendly in case it cannot be sold.

And then possession of such an object would be a chargable offense.

We gave away all our electronics manufacturing to a government dedicated towards making computers as we understood them back in the 80's and 90's _useless_.

Imo, it would be tough to regulate such a device though. It could be a mere router that is rooted with custom firmware or a Raspberry Pi. Not to mention, China is the manufacturing hub for most of these electronics, they have a lot of the components there as well to help you build one from "scratch" if you really want to.

Regulating the distribution of electronics at such a micro scale would be detrimental to businesses and startups in China.
