Looks good. I love how Elixir is "finished" and all these new updates are tweaks and performance improvements and stuff like that.

Is there an overview of the new standard library helper functions it mentions anywhere?

elixir is so beautiful and expressive...it really sucks that it's almost impossible to find it in use in a company. I don't understand how there's so much old school oop frameworks in the wild and not enough elixir/phoenix :/
I feel ya. It's definitely difficult to find work. I've started to focus a lot more on my own elixir projects than my current employment since they have zero interest.
It's not that bad, I'm on my second Elixir job in 3 years and in Asia which is even harder to find.

There are a good amount of jobs in the US or in Europe but you have to actively look for them...

I can however say that working with Elixir has been really pleasant and even enjoyable, and I'm not someone who codes outside of work. I'd definitely recommend it!

I managed to move into one pretty quickly after learning it and adding it to things like LinkedIn as a preferred language. There are companies out there but the pool is smaller for sure. The upside is a lot of companies using it will happily hire remote because that's the only way to get a reasonable sized candidate pool.
