I used RCS for a while and it was great. Then one day I tried to send a 50MB video file to a family member and it stalled, and since then my 'RCS chats status' (on a Pixel) is shown as 'Trying to verify your phone number'. I've tried everything short of a factory reset and it just doesn't work.

So, back to WhatsApp.
