No one ever talks about reducing the health budget. This department is unnecessary at the city level and just duplicates the same office at the provincial level.
The mindset around the TTC hasn't to a future where many people work from home. Ridership is dow to record low levels but let's build 5 new lines. People asked for this 30 years ago.. now it's unneeded and just going to create a bigger bill year after year.
Toronto is about to have a mayoral by-election next week, and Mark Saunders is the more conservative candidate, who is a former police chief. It's a highly contentious election because the leading candidate (Olivia Chow) and Saunders have been sparring along culture war lines.
