This is a bad mistake in an otherwise good video. Many (most?) things are better when you electrify them, even if you don't have 100% clean electricity, and even if your electricity is filthy by modern standards.
Obviously, cleaner electricity is better, but we don't need to wait to electrify everything. Do it now, and clean up electricity in parallel.
Oh, and in general I support this "15 neat tricks that your <expert> does want you to know" version of anti-clickbait. Life is complicated, nerds and wonks have thought about it. Learn what they recommend before you go thinking outside the box, or claim "<one thing> won't save us", as if anyone serious was claiming that <one thing> would.
