This feels like what you'd come up with if you wanted to minimize the EV advantage. Edward Tufte would not approve.
They had so much faith in their infographic they added the text "Production emissions for battery EVS are ~40% higher than hybrid and combustion vehicles".
They could have added similar text to the usage or total section, but didn't.
