[–] rasz 3y ago ↗ Maybe AMD should just contract Valve to manage writing drivers for them? [–] thesnide 3y ago ↗ Why limit to AMD? [–] rasz 3y ago ↗ Because AMD are incompetent when it comes to software, has been for decades. [–] imtringued 3y ago ↗ How long until Valve contracts the rusticl guy so AMD has an actually working OpenCL driver?

[–] senttoschool 3y ago ↗ She has been working on the GPU driver for Asahi Linux, no? I wonder if she will continue doing that or completely switch to working for Valve. [–] solarkraft 3y ago ↗ IIRC she's already worked on it during her time at Collabora. I don't think that will change, especially considering that she's not employed.

[–] user- 3y ago ↗ Thats a pretty high profile hire, considering her work on Asahi Linux that has been 'trending' multiple times. As both an apple silicon and a steamdeck user, i see this as good news.
