Our government is pathetically incompetent or an accomplice to this brazen theft. No wonder people want to shrink the government. I rarely see the government address anything in a way that actually helps—-invading Iraq and Afghanistan after 9/11, Obamacare, everything related to COVID, cash for clunkers… it’s all a grift or incompetent. Usually it’s a bandaid solution or something that actively makes the problem worse. Maybe we should drown the government in a bathtub. If I had my taxes back, I could actually afford a house and I don’t think my taxes are spent fairly or wisely anyways.
This is normal. Most aid given to developing countries are stolen by fraudsters. There will always be people looking to exploit the vulnerable and the ignorant.
