Ask HN: Why is Notion so slow and getting slower?

Speed is my most important usability metric. Every day I use Notion for work it feels like it's fighting me. I'd assume user testing would show that users carry about being able to do their work swiftly.

Am I the outlier? Does user testing show otherwise? Why is Notion so slow and why aren't they improving it?
