First MRR: An Important Milestone in the life of a solo bootstrapped founder
It's hard to put into words just how ecstatic I am about this achievement.
What started as a 6-day build-in public challenge back in June 2023, inspired by other makers on Twitter,
From failing massively to build the product in 6 days to finally launch it after 21 days
Has grown into something incredible.
As a random guy with no audience or prior projects,
I've just tried to learn from and apply the best practices of other makers on Twitter.
Landing this first customer is a massive milestone for any bootstrapped solo founder, and I couldn't be more grateful.
But what no one tells you are the countless hours that go behind the scenes.
The emotional toll of being a solo founder is often overlooked.
Then comes those sleepless nights and countless hours of hard work. No weekends. No sleep.
The endless pivots and re-designs.
When your business becomes your life, I wouldn't have it any other way.
Although everyone's experience is different, being a solo founder is a journey that no one talks about enough.
The ups and downs can feel like the highest of highs and the lowest of lows.
But time after time, the solo founder picks themselves up, dusts themselves off, and keeps going.
We learn to pivot, adapt, and keep evolving because we know it's the only way forward.
My hope is that by sharing my journey and lessons learned, you too can be inspired to take action and build something of your own.
We don't have to be a great programmer. Or designer. Or salesperson. Or a storyteller as they say on Twitter.
But we just have to be good hustlers.
In the end, the solo founder surprises themselves with what they can accomplish.
