Reddit is being spammed with fake good reviews on the iOS App Store (old.reddit.com)

Isn’t it well established that this is illegal? I thought the FTC have repeatedly cracked down on companies which generate fake positive reviews. I still expect it from fly by night Amazon sellers but not from major American corporations.
