So Twitter is behind login wall(?)

Hi,

I noticed that twitter content is behind login wall (embed content is fine, so far). I mean that I can't see tweets on twitter if I'm not logged - it kicks me to login page.

It was fine two days ago.

Is it only me or not?

Yeah, profile pages are now behind the login wall if you're not logged in.

Amazing how they don't even know if it is an intentional change or not.

It seems like a poor attempt at juicing some metrics in the short term. But what good is converting users with no account who read and don't post, into users who still read and don't post? Net ad views is the same. Better tracking?

Musk needs cash from ads. I'm guessing that he's doing it for better pageviews.

Anyway public persons and companies need to be see .. so this can kick twitter pretty hard. Especially when they can have own instances.
