Reddit subreddits censoring comments about Steve Huffman

Just got this in reply to one of my comments on the r/videos subreddit. What's going on? This feels Orwellian.

"Whoa there chief, did we just catch you disparaging Steve Huffman? If you don't stop being mean to this company you're going to hinder it being highly profitable. Everyone please ignore this Snoo's comment, and go about your business on the Official Reddit App, which is now listed higher on the App Store. I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns."

Not knowing who Steven is what is this satire about?

I see my favorite sub-reddit has been turned "private". I can not read or write any content there. What is that about? Who is responsible? Who benefits? Or is it about grievance?
