Here’s a video[0] showcasing a roleplay heavy playing of Delve if you want to get a good feel for how it works. Fantastic tabletop game in my experience. Definitely unique.
Tony Dowler’s “How to Host a Dungeon” is a similar solo tabletop game about a dungeon evolving as people and monsters come and go over the ages. It was originally published in 2008, but there is 2020 second edition. More info and a free PDF version here:
I am a huge fan of solo TTRPG's. A few of my personal favourites are Colostle[1] and Thousand Year-Old Vampire. Rather than a map-making game like Delve, they are journaling games where you get a vague event (you are ambushed by someone you know!) and it is up to you to write the story of what happened.
Another one I really like in that general category is "lighthouse at the edge of the universe." It's meant to played in a short session every night, and incorporates your own daily experiences & emotional state into the game. So it's also somewhat a tool for self reflection. Fun concept, painfully sweet to do with a child.
